Common cooling methods for induction heating equipment

When induction heating equipment works under high power, it needs to use water for cooling. The following components and parts: induction coil, IGBT or MOSFET, high-frequency transformer and power component main rectifier, etc., because of the thermal effect of current, operating under high current conditions will generate a certain amount of heat, resulting in incidental temperature rise. If the above components are not cooled in time, it will affect the power and performance of the equipment, and even burn them out and damage the induction heating equipment.
There are two commonly used cooling methods: forced cooling and natural cooling. Forced cooling is further divided into: artificial cooling, water cooling, oil cooling (oil immersion) and air cooling.
In order to ensure the normal return water and water supply of the high-frequency quenching equipment, the cooling water system needs to be equipped with a return water tank and a water distributor. The temperature of the cooling water inlet should not exceed 35°C, and the outlet temperature should not exceed 60°C. The resistivity of water is 4kΩ/cm2, the hardness is ≤60mg/L, and the pH value is more suitable in the range of 5.6 to 8.5.
1. Water separator
(1) The inlet and outlet of the water separator need to be equipped with pressure gauges and valves. (2) The inlet and outlet of the induction heating equipment, the inductor, and the output transformer determine the diameter and quantity of the outlet pipe of the water distributor. (3) The water distributor needs to be equipped with a drain pipe to adjust the water pressure.
2. Return tank
In order to ensure smooth return water, the diameter of the outlet pipe of the return tank should be larger.
